Western Australian-focused gold explorer Torque Metals has unearthed an emerging high-grade gold zone adjacent to the existing open pit at its Paris gold project, southeast of Kalgoorlie. The latest hole from its third phase of drilling has returned a significant strike of 21 metres going 2.33 grams per tonne gold including a strong 3m at 11.6 g/t gold.

Torque Metals has intersected numerous shallow gold hits in a new discovery approximately 200 metres northeast of the HHH open pit mine at its 100 per cent owned Paris Gold project near Kalgoorlie. Significant shallow gold results from the nine drillhole program at the new prospect named Caruso, include a 15m section grading 3.12 grams per tonne gold from 15m downhole.

Torque Metals has locked down an RC drill rig and is back in the field to chase down previous exciting gold hits at its Paris project near Kambalda. Follow up drilling will target some cracking grades previously intersected at Paris including a 9m hit grading 11.52 grams per tonne gold and an intersection adjacent to Paris that gave up 24m going 10.7g/t gold including 6m at 34g/t gold.
